We have created a race. The contestants are all universities that use animals in research. The winner will be the first university to stop using animals in 2025. Will it be a university that usually completes 100`s or 1,000`s or over 100,000 procedures every year? Will the winner be your local university? You can help them get to the finishing line first and we will help you! More information to follow.

World Day for Animals in Laboratories – 24th April
Founded by the National Anti-Vivisection Society (NAVS) in 1979, World Day for Animals in Laboratories (WDAIL) is on 24th April . A march is organised for the following Saturday. Go to the WDAIL website for more information www.wdail.uk
On this day and during the whole of April there are additional protests and information events to inform the public that animals are still used in research to find cures for humans. That sounds crazy, right? How will it sound in 2033, 2043…..let`s hope some time in the not to distant future many more people are confused as to why we did this to animals and that we are now using non-animal methods.
Please take a look at the pages on our website www.vivisectionexposed.co.uk. What can you do to help animals in laboratories? You probably think you can`t help them, but you can! Here are some ideas for starters (see image).

3.06 million procedures were carried out on animals in laboratories Great Britain in 2021. The figure for 2022 will be released by the Home Office in July 2022. We have everything crossed that the number has reduced and only dream that it will be zero.
We have our final 2 WDAIL 2023 events today, which are at University of Brighton and University of Surrey. Watch out for a compilation video of all 9 events VE hosted for WDAIL.
Let`s make No Animals in Laboratories (N.A.I.L) happen. The day when animal testing is stopped for good! Will you join us in making that day happen?
If you are not sure if there is a facility near you that uses animals in research check the Map of Shame
Together we can make N.A.I.L happen.
If not us, then who?
If not now, then when?
Thank you!
Double demo day tomorrow!

No animals required – the future is here!
The future has been here for some time now but because researchers are legally bound to use animals in their research to discover the causes, diagnoses, and treatment of disease and suffering in humans, non-animal methods are overlooked, unfunded and dismissed.
** CALL TO ACTION **
1. Ask your local MP to speak up on animal testing. Ask them to insist on change now, not in the future. Our taxes and more government funding should be used to fund non-animal methods.
2. Ask charities that use animals in testing, if you made a donation where would the money go and what would it be used for.
3. When you are prescribed medication ask for an alternative that does not contain animal products. You`ll be surprised at how many alternatives there are!
4. Think of yourself, your family & friends. If they become ill, is there a cure or a drug to save them? Why are researchers still looking in the wrong direction? Will your loved one lose their life, when they could have been saved?
5. Demand change now. Demand human-based research. Demand gene-specific research. Demand human-relevant research. Demand it today!
One person can make a difference. Will that person be you?
Thank you!
You might think you don`t donate to the BHF but…..
Here`s a video showing the logos of the companies that are partners with the British Heart Foundation. For more information on the partnerships go to https://www.bhf.org.uk/how-you-can-help/corporate-partnerships/our-corporate-partners
Thank you!
Call to action! – Email the BHF
Please send the British Heart Foundation an email asking why they conduct and fund animal testing? heretohelp@bhf.org.uk
They conduct and fund animal testing, which we know has a failure rate of over 95% when transferred to humans. Millions of pounds donated by the general public are given to universities to torture animals in the name of medical research. This must end. Animals deserve better. Humans deserve better. Humans fail humans when they use animals in research.
Let us know what the BHF say. You can forward their reply to liberate@vivisectionexposed.co.uk We may post the reply on social media but we will remove all personal information before doing so.

Thank you!
It`s the BHF protest weekend!
Where will you be on Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th February? We`ll be standing up for animals in the laboratories that are funded by the BHF. If you buy or donate you too are funding the torture animals suffer at the hands of humans.
If you are free and able to stand with us, please do! More details on our events page and also Vegan Action for Animals` Facebook page. Click the post link below if you are reading this on social media.

Who are the good guys?
Thanks to Animal Aid there is a list of good guys and bad guys when it comes to charities that do to don`t conduct or fund animal testing. We have compiled a visual version of that list. Handy to use when you are doing outreach. Bookmark the pages for quick access. Click GOOD and BAD to see the charity logos.
